Unlock your passions at White Cross Vets Wolverhampton
White Cross Vets are a group of 21 Vet practices across the North and Midlands of England. We are proud to be one of the fastest growing veterinary practices in the UK. You will be based at our Wolverhampton branch but there is a possibility of working over two practices to gain experience if they wish as our CD is dual site.
We are located in the Penn Road in Wolverhampton. We are close to the city which offers a wealth of options for socialising, shopping and getting out. If you are looking for something a little more local, Cannock Chase is also close by. Wolverhampton is at the centre of the UK's motorway and high-speed rail networks with great links to the rest of the country.
Our friendly team consist of 3 Vets. Our senior Vet is a keen Ultrasonographer and Imaging certificate holder. Our other two Vets are working towards certificates as well. Our Vets, along with our fantastic Nursing team, pride ourselves on high clinical quality and promoting preventative healthcare. We would consider our team as an extended family and have a friendly and supportive team culture. We are all united in striving to promote clinical quality and maximising our patient care. When we have a small gap in our busy day, we enjoy wellbeing afternoons, which we spend doing activities such as watching a movie, crafting and having a laugh. We are also all partial to a pizza from our neighbour Dominos and a slice of cake.
Practice facilities and equipment include 4 consulting rooms, 1 theatre, a designated digital x-ray room including dental x-ray, a designated ultrasound room, cat, dog and isolation wards and cat and dog separate waiting areas.
Step into a supportive start
40 hours per week over 4 days plus inclusion in our Saturday rota. There is no OOH required which allows a great work life balance.
For any successful New Graduate on the graduate academy, we would ensure that we had an assigned an on-site mentor. They will provide guidance and support for the VetGDP programme, and arrange regular 1-2-1's. Alongside the whole team, we would support a New Graduate settle into the clinic by scheduling workload to ensure time is provided for a New graduate to shadow the other Vets and gradually build up their case load.
